Paula Fisher
Paula Fisher

Paula Fisher, Managing Director LLB (hons), LLM -

Paula Fisher founded Practical HR in May 2002. Paula has worked in Human Resource Management for over 25 years. She has held senior HR management positions within corporate organisations and in 1997 completed a Law Degree (LLB Hons), graduating with a 1st class honours. She has also gained a Master Degree (LL.M) in Employment Law and Employee Relations and has lectured in employment law at Anglia Ruskin University on the CIPD course (Certified Institute of Personnel & Development).

Paula has been working as a consultant with SME's for over fifteen years. She brings a commercial approach to HR, recognising that HR is an integral part of running a business. Her view is that HR should ensure that an organisation has flexibility and protection and should help (not hinder) an organisation in helping them achieve their business objectives. Fiona Haworth
Fiona Haworth

Fiona Haworth, Senior HR Consultant - 

Fiona Haworth, has over 20 years experience in HR. She has spent the last 12 years working as an HR Consultant, supporting clients through a wide variety of employment issues, including restructures / redundancies, TUPE transfers, disciplinary and grievance matters, long term absence etc. She also has extensive, hands on experience of drafting and implementing employment contracts and employee handbooks. 

Fiona works with clients and develops strategies to help them meet their objectives. She explains complex issues in ‘jargon-free' language and sets out any procedures that need to be followed in clear, logical steps. 

Prior to working in consultancy, Fiona spent fourteen years in numerous HR generalist and management roles within the Financial Services sector.

Angela Dansey
Angela Dansey

Angela Dansey, Employment Relations Consultant -

Angie is an experienced HR Professional with a strong knowledge of employment law legislation, employee relations and employee development. She has a proven track record of implementing HR policies, practices and procedures in high pressure environments.

Before working in HR Angie had 12 years experience working as an Operations Manager for a Utility Company providing her with the experience of understanding the commercial pressures that businesses have to deal with on a day to day basis enabling her to understand the needs of our clients.

Angie has particular expertise in employment relations, specialising in matters such as long term absence, mediation and general misconduct or performance issues.

When managing Employment Tribunal claims, Practical HR works closely with Sami Rahman who provides additional expertise when preparing for tribunal and provides representation at hearings.

Sami is a specialist employment practitioner with an extensive employment practice.

Gina Bartley

Gina Bartley, Account Manager - -

Gina is involved in the building, updating and maintaining of the websites of our clients.

She is immersing herself in the processes to ensure that her clients are provided with a site that is effective, accurate and easy to use.

Prior to working at Practical HR Gina spent 11 years working in numerous roles within the Financial Services Industry, which gave her knowledge of HR issues and the need for building strong working relationships with clients.

Natalie Jansen

Natalie Jansen, HR Co-ordinator -

Before joining Practical HR, Natalie had been working in HR for almost 2 years during which time she achieved the CIPD Level 3 Diploma in Human Resources Practice and acquired a keen interest in employee relations and employment law.

Natalie joined us in 2016 as an HR Administrator / Account Manager and was greatly involved in our client websites but also worked closely with our Consultants to provide administrative support and to further develop her skills and knowledge. This led to her developing into becoming a HR Co-ordinator; this role involves her  assisting the Consultants in many aspects of their work including drafting of HR documents and letters, communications monitoring and supporting clients' cases.
